Why does the eejits guide to filmmaking seem incomplete?

Hello all,

It seems a shame to me that given that exposure's hostboard is such a genuinely dedicated community that I've learned alot from, all the posts that I've benefited from have sunk into the obscurity of the hostboards archive. Why does'nt somebody transmogrify some of this vast ocean of knowledge into the concise and amusing style of the eejits guide to film making? It seems to make total sense to me. I think the guide might be the best thing I've ever read on filmmaking - its just a shame that its scope is so limited and will only benefit absolute beginners who shoot DV.

What do you all think?

A few of us have tried to contact Dale (the webmaster) over the past years... but he's never gotten back to us.

Considering that the Exposure website is never updated, I find it very strange that this community still thrives!

Dale should really release the website to this community, so we can add to the eejits guide, promotion the projects (exposure shorts & mini-script compo), etc...

There's alot of ideas floating around, but like they aren't documented (unless someone digs into the forum archives?)

I am writing him a letter. I'll send a print out of these "Dale is Dead" type posts so he (hopefully) realises the fanbase he has attached to the site!

Dear Dale,

I am writing to you regarding the eXposure Website ( www.exposure.co.uk ).
I, along with many, frequently visit the above mentioned site, and the attached discussion board, and it has been realised that you are in fact, apparently dead!
This has been realised because, although the frequent traffic that passes through the site, the site itself hasn?t been updated for quite a long space of time.
It is felt that, although the site is extremely helpful, it can be so much more with the input from your regular visitors.
I have decided to send this letter to you, on behalf of the whole Exposure / Hostboard community in order to request that either:
1. The site be updated, with any changes suggested by your fan base, or
2. The site be transferred to somebody who can apply more time to the upkeep of it.
I hope you are indeed alive and healthy, and hopefully are able to reply to this letter soon!
